You can rule out #1, the CPS is only needed to start the car, not to
keep it running (if the car dies while running, it's something else). 

A shorted POS or coil that blew the 5amp fuse that protects the computer
is always possible. You can tell this when you turn the key, it the
check engine light does not come on it's likely the fuse blew. 

Fuel pump is a good suspect.

Two likely suspects not as yet mentioned:

1.      failed CPS
2.      disconnected white plug on firewall.  This eliminates B+ from 
reaching coils and she's dead, Jim.

Look at #2 first - it's a LOT easier.
