I installed the Apikol kit last summer, no problems but I wonder (only a
suggestion with no past evidence) if you may have a ground problem or a
connector problem (perhaps Apikol solder issue?),  I would think either of
these could produce this kind of results, but you would think it would still
run and sputter.   Maybe a bad ground would kill it completely?   My Apikol
has been fantastic ... crap, should not have said that!  Sputtering should
arrive soon no doubt.
