I took AP Physics in high school, Brewster Kahle and I anchored 
opposing ends of the grading curve. Brewster was a principal at 
Thinking Machines, created WAIS, Alexa and the Wayback Internet 
thing, among other stuff. Smart guy :)

So I can relate.

Just like NASCAR...it's only cheating if you get caught. 
Optimizing the wheels (polishing, etc) and polishing the 
axle/holders is another.
