that's very similar to the one i used, and it's very easy to use.

That should not have happened. They simply were using the wrong tools or
just being careless. Using the proper tool such as pictured below it would
be very very difficult to do this job wrong and damage anything.

correct tool for this job, but one simmilar to this is what should be used.
