[s-cars] Need a good wipe

The rear wiper on my wife's '96 A6 avant is not contacting the
glass any more. The hinge on the arm (allowing it to bend
toward/away) from the glass seems tight. Would this keep it from
contacting the glass or is it more likely that the spring has 
lost
its sproing?

I've tried bending the arm slightly so that it makes better
contact, but found no joy there.

Do I need to replace the arm?

By the way, if it matters, the car is metallic pearl.
