+1 * 10^8. to Bobs recommendo for E-codes + basic HID upgrades.
Best money I've spent on the S so far was the E-code lenses (from ECSTuning
$120 but available elsewhere) and a shockingly inexpensive but quite
excellent HID conversion from DDM Tuning (also known as "Apexcone"). Less
than $200 all in. Outstanding, and bulb check works and everything without
any fuss. I'd recommend saving the world stock of TT HID parts for people
who still have money left to waste after the financial crisis (jk... I kid
because I love). Only the low-beam conversion is required, as the high beams
with E-code glass are pretty excellent with standard bulbs.
Also what makes a huge diff is polishing the foggy residue that accumulates
off the stock projector lenses - especially true for the fogs for some
reason (maybe because they are more confined so whatever plastic sublimation
happens to leave the fog happens worse). Lots of good stuff on AW and
elsewhere on this...

and etc...
Lastly - if the PO did lens upgrade you should be able to tell by looking
for the lack of a DOT stamp in the glass, (and alternately having an E-code
stamp). E-codes also don't have the nice clear window for viewing the
aiming bubble & pointer mechanisms.
