[s-cars] Fog light HID upgrade?

I would have to say, that most factory fogs are simply dazzle devices,
quality fogs,
such as the Hella MicroDE have truly helped me in my similarly, shall we
say, not-urban
setting at "deer spotting". My less than scientific measurement of the Micro
DE output
is that they project about 600' in front of the car with a beam that is
about equally wide
with a sharp top cutoff. Nowhere near a beam drop "just in front of the
car", like it seems
every factory fog set-up does. And the sharp cut-off seems to work in heavy
fog (so long
as the low beams are off.). I'd admit that this is in the below the bumper
mounting in the
Saabaru however. The UrS still has the useless factory fogs, which are
totally overwhelmed
by the stock projectors with 9012 HIR's in 'em. I do have the glass to do
the E-code mod,
and the HID kit, (just need time and some reasonable temps) in which case
the factory
fogs will be totally redundant.
