As you probably know LATCH stand for Lower Anchor and Tethers for CHildren.
The tether attaches to forward facing baby seats and is not used on rear
facing seats. The Lower Anchor does the same job as seats belts and locks
the base of the child seat in place.

The Audi dealership should relocate the tether to the seat you need (left,
center, right) for free. In my Avant there are three attachment points
under the carpet and one set of attachment hardware. The lower anchors are
not necessary. The seat belts do just as good a job at holding the seat in
place, but they are a bit more difficult too get tight. Most baby seats
come with a clip that locks the seatbelt. The Lower Anchors were created to
help people properly tighten the seat as many were leaving the seat belt too
loose.
