 I posted it as an FYI to educate list members in the proper uses of
the two terms, and exactly what they mean.  If you felt it was a
nitpick, the answer was not to respond in kind.

A cockfight is when you personally attack someone instead of refuting
their argument.  We've both been on Audifans since before it was
called that, and we've both spent a considerable amount of time
replying to people's posts and providing useful information.  Whoop de
doo.  That and a sandwich will get us both lunch.
