You also may want to check waytekwire.com

They have all the goodies to make a stock looking harness and
connectors.  I used their stuff for my euro light conversion on a couple
f my CQ's.

Not sure. Marine wire is frequently tinned as well as stranded, to  
resist corrosion. Other than that, if they are both stranded, copper  
and insulated, prolly not much difference. Well, except for the  
"marine", or "Audi" premium.
