Hey, Chris,  I wasn't recommending the process, just saying it can be 
done with little effort.  I agree with you.  I made a run of several 
hundred miles to Road Atlanta and back last Septober.  Drove my RS2ed 
urS6 and, by going easy on the loud pedal, averaged something like 
28.x MPG on that trip.  The drive wasn't all that much fun but it was 
fairly economical.
