I think your information is best viewed as a point to watch for when
buying a torque wrench, not necessarily that Matco's are a "bad" torque
wrench.  There are many models available, some of which I would guess
have different ratchet teeth.   Besides, you should be using a ratchet
to snug first, then torque with the torque wrench.

I can highly recomend NOT buying a Matco torque wrench. I HATE mine
(it's a 
5-75lb-ft model). The teeth in the ratchet head are WAY too corse. It
takes 
like 5+ inches of swing at the handle to get one click which makes it a
PITA 
to use.
