Yeppers. Ref page 30 on the schem link Dave sent. From my detectivizing and
intial in-car poking around, that's pretty much what the setup is, although
I'm open and would be happy to being corrected. 

One revised thought though - if you're going to relay at the lights, then
you could probably power the switches directly off of the headlight switch.
Then you'd only be adding current from the bulbs in the switch and the draw
of the relay coil. For instance you might be able to get away with a jumper
to the backside of Fuse 16 from the 'interior lights system' or something
like that (again assuming this is only to power up the switches and feed the
relays you'd put in the front of the car).

Damn VAG.  Guess I'll do a hotwire with relays this spring, which is what I
thought was necessary. I'll document and draw up a schematic when I do this.
Figures Audi would change what was effective in the S4 to something like
this. Does this mean that the S6 is feeding full current through the switch?
