Mark, et al,
Been doing some further checking. Found and pulled and cleaned (a
little CLR) the check valve Mark pointed me to (thanks, Mark). It
appears OK - was able to blow air through it easily in one direction
but not so easily in the other direction. Left the valve disconnected
and tried the pump and an unrestricted flow path. No flow. Also no
pumping noises. I suspect a dead pump or an open circuit in the pump
power supply. Fuse somewhere?
Any special tricks to pull the tank and get at the pump? It _looks_
like it's just a matter of disconnecting one bolt and then just slip
it out. Is it really that easy or am I missing the part where the
Audi gods require the sacrifice of your firstborn child and a pint of
fresh blood?
Should I find that the pump is actually dead what is a good
replacement source these days/
