Commercial users are expected to make a small donation of some sort,
though I don't think this is explained very clearly (or maybe at all;
it's been a while since I went through the forms and such.) We're
pretty lax about enforcing the rules. The biggest intervention that
has happened was a couple years ago when the place was infested by
asshats, and I shut the whole thing down for a few weeks. We get a
small amount of money off AdSense shown on the marketplace pages.

According to Dan, he hasn't received a donation in the last year or
two from a dealer. He says we do get donations on a semi-regular
basis from a small group of regular contributors. I've asked him to
do a dump of paypal payments so I can make a 'thank you' page (after
checking if they want their name up.) I figure people will also
notice who regularly posts and does/does not contribute back to the
site.

At the moment, the cheapest and easiest way to contribute is to
contribute helpful information and practice good email / mailing list
etiquette (and please use the quattro list for general auto/audi
inquiries.) We're also still looking for contributions to the wiki-
even just technical model information would be great. Signup takes
about 2-3 minutes and a valid email address; editing documents is just
like Wikipedia (same software.)

And yes- PLEASE consolidate parts listings into ONE post!

Given that this is one of the most popular services Audifans provides,
I'm eager to overhaul it (but also retain its KISS feel, and find out
what people want/get feedback.)

Blake- I'd encourage you to take up comments made by specific listers
with those specific listers.
