I can argue against “rules” and the Taka take WRT to Paul’s talking up cars
of Brian.
Case in point is the pristine, relatively rare ’97, M3/4/5 I scored about a
year ago with only 27k on the clock and still reeking of Bavaria.  Wildly
weird in that IIRC Brian was only thinking about acquiring the car when Paul
mentioned it listwise with even more irrational exuberance than usual. I
believe Brian really wanted to add this car to his private collection but I
reminded him that he can’t buy every car he sees and Paul wants me to have
this car etc.. etc.. and other assorted BS.  This particular car he surely
would have easily sold anywhere and probably for more dough.
Voila! A deal was struck. No less than four daze later the fedex truck
arrives 10pm on Friday night.

It happened so quickly that I didn’t happen to mention it to my wife until
slightly earlier that evening.. “uhmm honey, I think I bought a car.”
“Huh?”  “Yeah, you know… a car.”  “What?”  “Yeah it’s a cool ole Bimmer and
uhmm yeah btw it will be here in a couple hours.”    She knows that I am
usually not normal, so this occurrence was not a complete shock.
Of course since it is Alpine White, I picked up on Paul’s idiotic idea to
add the motorsport flag set and then carried it a step further to an ersatz
LTW (lightweight) http://www.usautoparts.net/bmw/models/m3_ltw.htm sedan,
which of course was never ever made at the factory. I will never have
aluminum doors or the sunroof removed, but what else can you do with a white
M3 sedan except make a refridgerator?

Last weakend I installed the glow in the dark, motOhsport seatbelts:

of the LTW package but too cool to pass up.)

Not a great car story but a good enough one that never would have happened
under strict interpretation of friggin rulz.
You want rules? Go to Florida and talk it over with the gheezers.

I nominate Chris to moderate, if he's willing.

Nothing against you, Pizzo. :-)

I personally don't care about the postings about interesting cars, provided
that he's not advertising for Brian.

After all, if he finds something interesting and the planets align, I'd be
the one buying it- 986S, 964 RSA cheap (like that'll ever happen), 911
Carrera, 968....
