I don't know when or why Audi switched the CPS sender in the S6 but, AFAIK, the 301 works in
both the UrS4 and UrS6.  

Not that this helps you now. Just posting for future reference.

I think you have enough suggestions but I would start with center punch (and a BFH) and finish with
a vise. YMMV
