My '99 A6 just ate its second battery in 5 months. This time when 
I replaced the battery, the car ran like crap.

The Sears guy didn't ask why I'm on my 3rd battery in 2 years, 
just handed me a new group 48 at no charge and I was on my way. I 
do need to figure out what's going on...it's something having to 
do with the RNS-E and maybe the Cangate canbus emulator.

The Ross Tech website provided the instructions on how to do a 
"throttle body adaptation" and I was good to go.
