A bit more.
I think Tom must be crazy running studs in CT.. to each his own.
With the modern sipe technology and especially multi-cell compound,
I don't think studs are a must have in the places we live.
I've always thought studs are only useful on a cattle ranch, or while the
pin is perpendicular to the tread surface. Once they get rounded off and
point to 'Stern' they're not doing much other than acting like a noise
generator.
Maybe studs up there in Yellowknife but not where I live.
