Alex,

I hope everyone involved is safe and healthy, the car can be replaced.

As to the car, do not give up the salvage as there are many valuable
parts (think transmission, engine) that you could use or sell.

The car is yours until you choose to give it up, even if an insurance
company "totals" it, you can still choose to retain ownership of the
salvage.

I do have a red 92 UrS4 that will most likely go up for sale soon, if
you were interested I could have your transmission installed in it..... ;-)
