[s-cars] 95.5 S6 Sedan dies a horrible death

I've put 90k miles on my '95 S6 since 1st gear started to whine.  I've never
babied it and never any issue.  I think it's just a sign of character.  

I wouldn't limit myself to a 95.5 over transmission concerns.

I couldn't agree more.  The transmission issue isn't so much of an issue
anymore as most cars have either had it replaced or never had the issue
arise over many miles.  As long as it isn't whining away I'd think you're
ok.
