[s-cars] Fwd: cigarette lighter sockets

Below, I have forwarded my response to Jared about the lighter
socket. There are some little plastic sleeves that adapt the new
standard to the old socket, which would be
cheapest if you can find one and it will stay in place and not be
lost. Almost any of the newer sockets will work and are easy to
install in the URS4 panel; what you are
looking for is a matching plastic surround with the red light pipe to
match the existing socket. I visited the dealer showroom for new and
used Audis to make my selection.
I would have some insulated spade connectors handy since the
orientation of the electrical connector may not be exactly the same.
Disconnect the battery or pull the fuse
at the very back of the under hood relay box.

Is it a cigarette ligther adapter, or an EmPower adapter? They're
slightly different dimensions.

Also, my V1's cigarette adapter came with a sleeve that made the fit
into the plug tighter, which helped with the shallow cigarette plug.
