[s-cars] coolant reservoir

It's usually the easier things that get beat to death. : - ) This
one has had plenty
of coverage, but I understand that the search of the list is more
involved.

The reason to use genuinevwaudiparts.com is because they discount
parts more
than any online dealer part sales; by a large margin in almost all
cases. They
also give good customer service by verifying the part applicability
when you give
a VIN number, and answer questions placed by email. The catalog has
some
shortcomings for URS4/6 vehicles, so it is best to enter part #s when
pricing or
ordering parts, but that problem exists with the other dealers that
sell online
since they all use the same catalog.

I would not depend on overnight service from them, though, because if
they do
not have the part in stock, it takes a day to get it from the LA
warehouse, and
they cannot send the part directly to you from the supplier or
warehouse. Same
restriction applies to the local dealer.

The problem with the Meyle and FEQ tanks has been the material the
tank is
made of develops almost unseen stress cracks that allows the coolant
to escape.
This has happened rather quickly and it can be difficult to find
them. It is difficult
to trash a 3 month old tank that is still shiny new also.

It can be even more difficult to find some coolant or even a bottle of
water when
stranded beside the road.
