RI
Drain the coolant out of the radiator and the reservoir tank. Then fill
with distilled water and run the engine until fully warmed-up. Make sure
that the heater is full on to the highest temperature and that heat is
coming out of the vents. Do the same drain procedure again and fill a
second time with distilled water. Run the engine until hot again, with
heater on, then again drain radiator and reservoir. Since this is a 9.6 qt.
system, this time fill the radiator and reservoir with at least 4.8 quarts
of undiluted coolant, (not the 50/50 mix). This should clear out most of
the gunk in the system.
