Chris,

I did a google.co.uk search (being a Brit ex-pat) and came up with this...

I know, BMW forums, but what can you do!

Subject: [s-cars] hamburg technic

Gentz,

Das Allroad is going to need a couple control arms replaced, I've just
started loooking
for parts/pricing and it looks like the hamburg technic brand is priced
attractively.

Obvious questions, is Hamburg Technic a quality brand?

They are currently available from the Ebay seller deutschepartsusa
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350169335428&s
sPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123

My first red flag is that their listing says "These are OEM Not some Cheap
Knock Off's" which led
me to believe the parts are the ones supplied to Audi. But then I read
"Exceeds VW AUDI OE Specifications" and "UPDATED DESIGN with Heavy Duty
Aluminum & Ball Joint."

I asked the seller what brand is it, and if is the audi original equipment
manufavturer or aftermarket.
The reply was "The parts are mde by hamburg technic in Germany. order them
now and we will ship as soon as possible."

I like to save money like anyone else, but the price being half of the
cheapest price i can find from
a known seller just sends up red flags...plus the seller didn't say they
were made in Germany, but did
make it sound like they were.

Any thoughts on this brand?

Chris
