Thats what the Webasto is for... the new ones have a timer... wakes up 20
min before you get there and heats the block by burning fuel and pumping
coolant! Instant toasty car regardless of location. Wish I had one at
times in CO.

Yeah I'd love a block heater, the cord would need to be about 1/4 mile long.
Parking in ski areas would be interesting, ahhh where can I plug this in??

Easy, jump in wind down the side windows and blast away Gruppe-Q style. No
need to look out the front when you are orientated 90 degress to the
direction of travel. The bonus is that the engine is fully warmed up in a
block or two. :-)
The more boring option is a block heater or Webasto.

So what do you guys recommend for cars that are covered with a foot of snow,
the cars 18 degrees inside, and as soon as you get into it your body heat
fogs up the windows! Have to have operating defroster to clear the
windshield, after you remove sometimes a ¼ of ice.
Idle seems to be the only solution?
Certainly cant just go drive it.
