[s-cars] Resetting the ECU

Get your radio code out, then disconnect your battery for about an hour?  That's what I've done in the past. Is it an S4 or S6?

So, my car is only making 1bar. Hoppen believes that the Lehmann chips I
have should be making 1.3 bar, but he's not 100%
he asked if I have any codes, and I do. A few months ago I got a knock
sensor code on an extremely hot and muggy day. it hasn't happened since and
the CEL is off.
I was told to reset the ECU of codes, but I don't know how. They told me
only a VAGCOM can reset it.
I don't know anyone who has a VAGCOM with the 2x2 locally (aside from Tom,
but he's done so much for me already and I don't want to bother him
everytime I need something)

Is there any other way of resetting the codes on the ECU?
