Steve-

PM Mike Toxcheap over on Motorgeek.

He built his brothers 1.8T up to 400+ hp and tuned it at EPL. I was there that day and it was very impressive. I'm sure he'll be happy to share what he knows what a GT's fueling needs are at low boost.

So long as the injectors stay in place and there's a boost gauge and AFR gauge with the car......a stock tune just might be safe. Its going to map stock level boost ( low _lower) and stock level fuel which shooting thru the 52lbrs might be fine.

Gabe Caldwell has been running his Urs4 w/ RS2 turbo and injectors on a stock tune for yrs with no adverse effects. I know its apples to pears.....but same principle insofar as fuel+map-boost.

You can always add in a manual boost controller and dial it down....waaay down.

Good luck.

I'd expect you can use a lower hp tune, but not stock.  The bigger turbo and
larger injectors will make the maps have difficulty not going overly lean
and rich (and probably back and forth).  The real concern is under full
throttle loads.  You're just asking for trouble not going with something
tuned for the package.
