These last three days have been an emotional rollercoaster for my family. There are alot of people who 
knew some of what happened and a lot who may be learning from this email. 

This email is my attempt to reach out to everyone I know in the fasted way possible.
It's been a long three days and we are all very tired so please do not be offended that I am not
talking with you via phone right now,
 
Wednesday morning my father awoke with a headache, when my mother tried calling him from work and he
didn't answer she went home at noonto check up on him. When she arrived home it was evident he had been
up, the TV was on, etc. she found him in their bedroom on the floor between the bed and wall, unconscious and unresponsive.
 
After the paramedics rushed him to BorgessHospital's ER, the doctor's sadly informed us that he
had experienced what they refer to as a catastrophic brain bleed, which most likely is what caused his initial headache, and there was no hope he could be saved.
 
Because he wanted to be an organ donor (if possible); and due to the nature of his injury seemed to be a
good candidate; the decision was made to keep him on life support in order to honor his desire and give him a
chance of being an organ donor.
 
Thursday morning he was determined to be brain dead, and then a couple hours later we were advised
that another test showed a small portion of his lower brain that controlled the breathing was still active
and they rescinded the original declaration of being brain dead. Many hours passed and on Friday morning at ~ 9;30 am my father Michael Chambers was declared brain dead.
 
Today we lost a grandfather, dad, husband & friend. There is a very small portion of people who befriend all
that they meet, and help all that they can. Everyone that knew him, learned that if they needed help with
some project, he was the man to call.
 
He was loved and will be missed by all that met him.

I am sure that if there is a heaven, he is there right now planning his next project and quickly becoming "the man" to call.
