[s-cars] '92 S4 - AC won't stay on

Thanks Dave. I had it charged the previous summer and it was blowing out
awesome air. I guess it's possible the valves weren't tightened enough and
the refrigerant leaked out? Prior to that, I never had any kind of leaking
issue. Is there a way for me to check on the charge myself or will I need to
take it in?

Somewhere along the line, you probably lost your A/C charge. This is the
most common reason for this behavior...

Subject: [s-cars] '92 S4 - AC won't stay on

Hi Folks,

I have a gremlin that's bugging me and hoping you can help. Last year I took

my '92 S4 off the road and garaged it. Sometime during the year the battery

completely drained and after charging it back up I've discovered the AC

won't stay on. I hit "Auto" and the snowflake icon comes on for about 3

seconds, then goes out. Hitting any of the buttons including the manual

vents and lowering the temperature doesn't help. Fuses look good. The AC was

working perfectly prior to garaging it.

Any advice appreciated.

Mike - Seattle, WA
