[s-cars] front strut assembly removal

Need some guidance please.  I've got my '93 up on jack stands to perform
a suspension upgrade (struts/springs/tie rods/ control arms). I've got
the rears done. Need some help with the fronts..how does the front strut
assembly come out?  It looks like the axel has to come out of the hub
and the lower ball joint had to be disconnected?  Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
