This week's adventure was chasing down why rear defogger light was on all the time in 90o weather. 
Voilà !
Left rear hatch wires fubr.

Seeking to undertake a dreaded soldering mission only once, I stretched each wire a little from each end, twisted, soldered, shrink tubed and taped:

It's all good now :)
May have been better to add a length of wire, but would have taken 2x the time and added wire bulk where there is not much room.
Also finally installed last CF trim over glove box.  .... 2 hrs for that which adds no hp, but finishes a 2 yr project.
(Old burly hurly good wood trim available for $20US fiat, shipped, if any one cares....or needs.)
