[s-cars] Audi on-line RS petition... or... transparent attempt at viral mktg?

I see supposedly AoA has put up a facebook petition urging folks to urge the
bosses to bring the TT RS over.
 
I'd like to get excited at the idea that they paid attention to what
enthusiast buyers want and that we could get them to bring more S cars
over... but it smells all too viral/guerilla marketing gimmicky to me ("uh,
what's that boss? what are we doing about social networking..? ummm.... well
lessseee... we can have one of those on-line petitions asking if people want
us to bring the special cars over! of course ha-ha-ha we won't actually DO
IT, but we can get a bunch of PR for it!")  Oh yeah I'm cynical...
