Your symptoms sound more like the seal than the guide itself. The valve
guides get replaced with the head off, so it's a weekend down at best, and
if that was your problem, she'd be more like a cheetah on ice, or maybe
valium. Valve stem seals however are an afternoon with the right tools.

Past 200K you might want to afford lifters at that time too..
