[s-cars] Driveline noise/vibration

Hey guys,

Something I noticed a few days ago, very sporadic and unintrusive, has today become noisy and with considerable vibration under initial load upon acceleration. In first and second gear especially, under acceleration, I am hearing a "ting ting ting" bell sound from under the car, speed related, not RPM related. Also feeling noticable vibration until about 20 mph, then I still hear the sound faintly, and the vibration is gone. Car drives fine at highway speeds. Could this be the driveshaft or driveshaft bearing? Took a look underneath with a flashlight tonight but couldn't see anything obvious, other than a bit of wetness around the rear differential, but not anything really bad......what should I look for when I get under there tomorrow in the daylight?

Car has 106K miles, spent mostly in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.......

Thanks so much......don't really need this just before the busy time of year, that's for sure!

Best regards,
