[s-cars] Poll: Who's using a 1.8T coil conversion

Martin, I too was having it before switching, and it's still present after switching, which is why I want to believe it's not coil-related. However, in going through the output tests, along with swapping other items that I thought might be probable causes, I'm back to fuel and/or spark.
The injectors are certainly due for at least a good cleaning @ 216K miles, and I may just swap the fuel filter (time for a new on anyway) for good measure.
I hate to pull the Apikol loom apart looking for bad connections, because it passes the wiggle test.

I had the same problem you described and it went away with new Apikol 1.8T
coil pack setup.
