[s-cars] Who's using a 1.8T coil conversion

Thanks Tom. I learned early on that the only thing hanging from the ignition should be the key that goes in it, so the only thing on the ring with the UrS key is that, a leather fob, and my CQ key. Not very heavy and it happens with just my UrS key in the ignition and no ring or other key. I replaced my ignition switch not long ago with a dealer unit because the plastic was cracked at the back, but no change.
Ironically, the hiccup seldom happens @ WOT. Usually it's at steady cruising speeds with little to no acceleration.

I know you have been through many lists of recommendations for help on
your problem, Wylie, so this one is really not for you. I just saw so
much in common with your saga and one that occurred a couple of years
ago. It turned out in that incident that the driver had his house and
work keys on the key ring hanging from the ignition, and every time he
accelerated, the reactive force on the pendulum of keys would turn the
faulty ignition switch off.

I don't think the freight train analogy is very good when it sometimes
ends in a hiccup. That is not train-like behavior. The train pulls
all the way to Santa Fe.

I think Dennis described the UrS cars best:

>> Like everything mechanical/electronic "they work fine until they
>> don't".
