The right for owners and independent mechanics to have access to
repair/diagnostic info, and firmware for cars by owners-  is extremely
relevant to the Audifans community.

Well, the funny thing is that in Germany, manufacturers are already
required to provide repair and diagnostic info to indie mechanics, I
believe.

As for state-by-state relevancy:

That sentence is a grammatical disaster, but, yes, it is of national
interest.  The coalition has bills going in MA and NJ, and in other
states, they're trying to get traction.  Public support would help
keep the bills from getting killed in committee.
