So a few weeks ago I posted I suddenly had bucking/stumbling issues and car
wouldn't go past 1.0 bar.
No joy in UrSland. Classic UrS igntion issues, right? As was might say here
in the Commonwealth, "You gotta bad friggin spaahhk, dood!"

Well replacing coils with brand new LS2 kit from Marc Swanson helps... but
not full cure (went from 'buck' to soft misfire stumble at slightly higher
boost/RPM).

Fast forward to this week, and I finally get it over to Lee at Advanced
Technology.
He right away diagnoses a twofer: fuel pressure issues but also ignition
problems remain.

He smacks in the Walbro high-ouput fool plump I've had sitting around for
ages, and confirms she runs great on that plus the OEM POS+coil system which
he awesomely yanked out of his personal AAN powered 90 in order to confirm
the diagnosis.
Unfortunately on the LS2's still some milder stumbles/misfires at high RPM.

Well back to Marc who was totally stand-up and left another set of coils for
me despite departing on vacation the next day.

Just spent the day running on the new coils and all is well. In fact as
strong as this car has ever run in my car now that it has the right fool
pressure and spaaahhhk juice. The first coils were LS2's without the
heatsink. Lee even confirmed the part number and was pretty sure they should
have been correct and OEM ones, so doesn't seem to be a case of cheap
knock-offs or wrong part numbah.
However the second set are the D585's with the heatsink and perform
flawlessly so far.

Hey LS2 UrS folks - is everybody running the D585's? I found some refs
online for other converters running LS2 coils on non-GM motors who seem to
be religious about using ONLY the offical DELCO D585's and none others (no
copies, not other LS1/LS2/LSx models). Marc mentioned occaisionally he's
seen ECU issues with some of the LS2 coils but that doesn't seem to be my
problem - no codes thrown just misfire at high boost/RPM...
Any feedback and long-term results would be great to hear.

Lastly by the way two thumbs up both to Lee and Marc - both stand up guys...
