Yeeeha !  glad I got a rise out of you O' Sultan of Tolland.
Just making sure you were awake in that fortress of solitude. Priceless !!

I oonly Einstein'd your rebuild cuz of your love of flogging. So if it lasts a year then its most likely a lifer for most sane peeps.

A d2S8 for  10-12K is most def a ton of car for one's money. Especially when 10K won't even buy you a 04/05 Camry or V6 Accord.

If you decide on a D2 ....make sure you have contacted or are near a trans shop that has sucessfully rebuilt a D2 tranny.. To date I only know of Krasusky's S8 having a relatively good rebuild.

"Relatively"

???

wut?

Dewd - my trans is sooooooooooooo perfect, it shifts amazingly amazing. And I looooove the fact that *I* scuff'd the fukker in and cherry pop'd the biatch.  It's broken in just to my driving style and is quitequite noice with every paddle shifted WOT shift.  Fersure.  Wherez you gettin yer Theory of Relativity there Chiefly??
now
Davey Davey Davey...  shiftless shmiftless.  You know where I go when I want to shift - same place you do... 930land.  I cannot over emphasize...  I'm a diehard stick junky. I do not even remotely miss it in Alumibitch.  Just sayin.  Ben...  pants.... HA!  Amen broham, I don't want 'em either thanks.
Mikee / Davey... re-read my manifesto - trans failures are only guaranteed in the pre-facelift A8s.  Ton 'o car for the doughrayme.
I dig B5S4s, sure.  But after owning a D bodied car, I cannot picture anything less.  The ensconcing feeling of overt awesomeness is profoundly present at all times.  The car fits me well, and you tool around in double-paned glass Fortress of Solitude feeling like some sorta Oil Sheik or Sultan... or like something and stuff and things.  I think.  Materials and execution are sublime.  It's just that good.
anywho
8-)
