I think you can reset the adaptive drive portion of the TCM by some sequence of pedal application with the key in the accessory position?
Don't know that particular bit of magic but I've heard of it from various sources.

Whilst adapting myself to the neu to me and soon to be passed to wifey v10,
S6, I notice starts from a stop can be smooth but can also lag a bit or seem
to be starting in wrong gear, or sticky sychro or something. Or, could
need to have the ecu reset to be re-adapted to my driving style??/ or, what?
I am going to stealer tomorrow for oil change and will inquire, but only
expect nothing definitive from them.
One of my first projects will be to change any filter on the trans... and
trans fluid simply because IME it can't hurt.
If this is just drive by wire bs, count me as not a fan :)
