It's the newer (actually older...was an Audi diesel engine oil filter) larger filter spec'd for the 1.8T engines. Don't have the PN handy..not @ home.

Have never done Seafoam...but have heard great things.... wanted some insight..

Okay...missed something...larger oil filter on the 1.8T, and the UrS???
What? Which?

Do you guys do the full Seafoam treatment, with 1/3 poured into a vacuum
line slowly, a third to stall and a third in the tank?

Forgot to mention that larger oil filter. I started using it on the A4, and
am also using it on my UrS car now and aside from adding a little more oil
when I change it there is nothing else to worry about. I need to Seafoam
the Q7 because I've heard there are issues with gunk building up on the
backs of the valves in the FSI engines since no gas is sprayed onto them
during the injection sequence to clean it. What's the deal with it?

Dave
FWIW
Ditto to Taka. Mine is a B5 1.8t ATW w/ chipped MTM ECU. 5-speed
I need 91 or above octaine, but outside of a coil or 2 a year it has been
real good.
Change my Mobil 1 approx every 4-4500k and Seafoam and no issues. 168k on
the OD
Just make sure your using the larger oil filter and you should not have a
problem.

Dave-
I'm with Wylie on this one- I prefer the 1.8T engines and actually prefer
the B5 to the B6- I think the B6 suffers from being overweight and it looks
it. The B7's taillights and other styling changes keep it from looking so
frumpy.

Use a fully synthetic motor oil and it should be fine. Great mileage too- I
could get about 24-25mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
