[s-cars] wheel bearing puller

I used three M14 bolts through the threaded holes in the hub to force the
hub out of the bearing. I turned each one half a turn at a time. I seem to
remember wedging some bits of metal behind the hub for the M14 bolts to
press against.
My hubs came out without the inner part of the bearing attached. I gather
this is a little unusual, and you may well have to work out how to separate
the inner shell of the bearing from the hub after the hub is removed.
There's a video on youtube showing how easy this is with an air chisel.
Don't use an impact wrench on the huge bolt used for pulling. You'll chew
up the thread (BTDT). Use a really big (greater than 3') breaker bar. I
didn't try tensioning things and then whacking the hub carrier with a lump
hammer, but that sounds like a good idea.
Appropriate use of heat and chilling will make things easier.
Remember to grease all the threaded parts, and any washers used to take the
load.
Good luck!
Paul
