[s-cars] VLAC

I have been happy with my Garmin nuvi 255W. I went with the lower model since I didn't think I needed it to do anything but navigate.
My peeve about GPS's is the cartoonish graphics. A co-worker has a Navigon and the graphics are stellar in comparison.

Dave, are the 760's still supported. I believe that is the problem with
Bob's current unit. NLS. Kinda like old Audi's. ;-(
Also, at least internet legend has it that the typical smash and grab thief
tends to look for vehicles with mounts or mount suction cup marks on their
windshield, unit visible or not. Once in the car, they'll rifle through your
glove box, armrest pockets etc and find the unit, and whatever else valuable
they can find in there. I'm trying out a cupholder type mount (so far, not
so good, very awkward placement) to keep the unit mount out of view. At
least when I'm traveling to populated areas. On a road trip, it's going up
on the windshield.
