[s-cars] Preparing for next timing belt change

Personally, I've never run into the balancer going bad, until the one recent post. With your car only having about 110k miles on it, I wouldn't even think of spending the money... I've had several with way more than double the mileage and no issues.
The bearing is a different topic... again, a part that I've not had fail, but can't really offer sound advice.

Well, I was thinking that this would be the last timing belt change as the
next would be due around 300000kms which may be beyond EOL. So I was hoping
not to have to pay for the front to be taken off again.
I could live with the S6 off the road for a few days.

If this is the only URS timing belt change you intend to make, perhaps
stockpiling any extra parts doesn't make sense. And you can't replace
the
S6 fan bearing alone. You have to replace the entire $400 bracket, so
that
kinda throws that out the window.
If you have other vehicles to consider for the parts, the vibration
damper
and/or toothed belt pulley (with the weak key) could be considered for
pre-purchase. Especially so if you would have to pay overnight shipping
because you must have the vehicle completed.
