I happened to be in Phoenix on business during the storm week. One area just north of Phoenix had 9.75" of rain from that storm. Phoenix had 3.5" of rain ALL YEAR in 2009. They had to go and retrieve one of the large tents from the I-10 freeway after it blew away.
