You want to see what's going on in America, watch the movie "Idiocracy" and you'll see. A little bit here:

However, I can't find the "case study" at the beginning of the film, which is truly prophetic.
In fact, all you have to do is look at a TV program listing these days, and you can see where we're headed.

Dave:
I subscribe to that line of thinking, want to maintain my IQ, so that's why I drive old school cars.
LOL
Electronic aids aside, the dumbing down took a great leap forward with the installation of cupholders and overboosted stereos (who needs to hear what's going on outside the car anyway?)
I witnessed the negative impact of electronic driver aids first hand at the NAAC winter driving school this past weekend - a driver in a C6 vette shod with snows couldn't make it up an icy hill on our avoidance course - stability control was applying the front brakes!!!! while the driver was trying to get the car uphill...my 17 year old nephew took my B3 90Q20v up the same hill in a nice controlled drift in comparison.

Is it just me, seems as more technology is put in cars the drivers become
dumber.
It's not just you.
