There can't be many S6s left which have are still on the original hosepipe.
On both my cars, I've managed to carry on driving for a couple of days after
the leak started by topping up the coolant and leaving the expansion tank
cap loose to stop pressurising the system. If it remains pressurised, then
the leak becomes a gush. Obviously you need to keep an eye on the
temperature gauge, and avoid stop-start traffic.

The Audi part number is difficult to find. This hose is part of the turbo
cooling circuit, so it's on the turbocharger wastegate page (MG 1, SG 45,
Illustration 145-25)
Part number: N 020 262 1 (10mm x 3.5mm - shorten to 160mm)

I ended up buying a 1m length from VAG Parts Ltd (UK) for about GBP10 when
they were still trading a couple of years ago. I had tried using a bit of
hosepipe I found in my garage that had approximately the right bore, but
that burst within a year.

The other two leaks you've got to look forward to are the seam on the
additional (electric) water pump, and the spigot on the expansion tank.
