Chuckle of the day....

Ever since we purchased the Mrs' Emerald/Ecru Avant 4 years ago, I always felt something was a bit off 
- it never accelerated as hard as her former 200q20v Avant, and only seemed to get up and go well over 4000 rpm.

In fact it felt like an NA motor esp compared to my MTM 1+ chipped Silver UrS6 Avant.

The other day I had a care package delivery (150k mile complete AAN) which I purchased as insurance against the blown head gasket on the Silver Avant (separate story).
I had my friend help me to replace the serpentine belt on the Mrs' Avant, and he kept on commenting how the turbo seemed to have a larger than stock cold side.

So we investigated...got out a shop mirror and....

yep, the Mrs' Avant has an RS2 turbo....albeit stock ECU, stock injectors and EM...

So now I need to figger out how to err...replace the "non standard" part with the proper "Rossatto bin'd" K24....

Not really sure that I want to give the Mrs' Avant the full RS2 treatment
 esp in light of my recent issue with the HG on my Silver Avant which is currently awaiting a replacement head at EFI Express
(current head had been replaced by dealer by the Avant's previous owner, and had already been planed, and can not be planed again ;-(...
...well that and the fact that it's got 247k miles on the original engine and head...
and the fact she used to share with me that she had "blown off a mustang" in her 200q20v (mind you with child seats in the rear).
