Mike,
Your subject line seems to indicate that the clutch propels the car
just fine. You might try replacing all the hydraulics before you pull
the transmission. I agree with Fred about the most likely problem,
but you don't know for sure. I don't want to spoil the fun of
removing the transmission, but you are going to have the rack R/R
fun. Jimmy Pribble had a post on his rack rebuild on Quattroworld I
believe. It should discourage any thoughts of a DIY job. I vote for
the Jorgen rebuild myself.
